Abstract

The semi-hardwood branch of Lagerstroemia indica ‘Xiang Yun'were collected and treated with KIBA. The contents of endogenous hormones IAA,ABA,GA3 and ZR were measured with ELISA in different rooting periods. The results indicated that the contents of endogenous hormones in cuttings during rooting period in Lagerstroemia indica‘Xiang Yun'was closely related with the differentiation and formation of adventitious roots. High concentrations of endogenous IAA and low concentrations of endogenous ABA was in favor of the formation of adventitious roots. High concentrations of endogenous GA3 inhibited the formation of adventitious root. Low concentrations of endogenous ZR promoted the differentiation and formation of root primordial, while high concentrations of endogenous ZR promoted the root elongation. High IAA / ABA,IAA / ZR and low GA3/ ABA promoted the differentiation and formation of root primordial. Low IAA / ABA,IAA / ZR and high GA3/ ABA promoted the root elongation.
