Abstract
The contents of endogenous IAA and ABA in the differentiation of adventitious root in vitro of Elaeocarpus sylvestris were studied. The results showed that the contents of endogenous IAA and ABA in plantlets in vitro treated with IBA and NAA increased before rooting, and then began to decrease when the root was observed;the ratios of IAA to ABA were 2.526 and 3.226,respectively when the calli were visible.Treated without any hormones, the content of endogenous IAA maintained low level, but the content of endogenous ABA increased constantly in root differentiation.Accordingly the ratio of IAA to ABA was under 1.211.
