Effect of primacamine root canal sealer for one-time root canal filling in the treatment of patients with acute pulpitis

Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of primacamine root canal sealer for one-time root canal filling in the treatment of acute pulpitis.Methods Ninty six cases with acute pulpitis were divided randomly into treatment group(n=48) and control group(n = 48),the control group received one-time root canal filling with zinc oxide eugenol,while the treatment group received one-time root canal filling with primacamine root canal sealer.Results There was no obvious differences of successful rate between two groups after treatment of one,three and six months(P 0.05),but the pain incidence in 7 days post-operation and patients' content rate in treatment group were significantly higher than those of control group(P 0.01).Conclusion Primacamine root canal sealer for one-time root canal filling in the treatment of patients with acute pulpitis has the advantages of positive effect,shorter therapeutic course,fewer return visit and higher content degree,and can be widely used in clinic.
