Abstract

Objective To study the clinical value of serum Cys C levels in the patients with nonage renal function injury caused by Henoch-Schonlein purpura. Methods Using radioimmouology analytic technique to measure the blood levels of cystatin C and urine albumin excretion rate(UAER),and using enzymic method to detect Scr levels in serum in 48 children with Henoch-Schonlein purpura. Results The levels of serum Cys C in the HSP groups were siganificantly higher than those in control group(P0.05,P0.01),and the serum Cys C levels increased when the urine albumin excretion rate (UAER) increased. The levels of Cys C was positively correlated with UAER and Scr (P0.01,P0.05). Abnormal rate of Cys C was higer than that of Scr in children with Henoch-Schonlein purpura (P0.01,P0.05).Conclusion Serum Cys C has important clinical value in the early diagnosis of renal injury in children with Henoch-Schonlein purpura.
