Abstract

Objective To investigate the impact of Huoxuetongmai decoction on the expression of Fas,Caspase-3 induced by cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury in rats. Methods 80 rats were randomly divided into four groups:sham operated group(n=20),model group(n=20),aspirin group(n=20),Huoxuetongmai decoction group(n=20).24h after ischemia reperfusion, rats were executed. The area of cerebral infarction and the pathological change in ischemia area were observed by HE staining. The expression levels of Fas,Caspase-3 were measured by immunohistochemistry. Results In comparison with sham operated group, the area of cerebral infarction obviously increased, the expression of Fas and Caspase-3 in brain tissue obviously increased at 12h and 24h after reperfusion in model group(P0.01).In comparison with model group, the area of cerebral infarction obviously reduced and the expression of Fas,Caspase-3 significantly decreased in Huoxuetongmai decoction group(P0.01,P0.05).There was no difference between Huoxuetongmai decoction group and aspirin group(P0.05).Conclusion Huoxuetongmai decoction could inhibit excessive expression of Fas and Caspase-3,thereby relieve cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury.
