Abstract

The water culture experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of Hg on chlorophyll content、antioxidant enzyme system activity( SOD、POD、CAT) 、proline content、soluble protein content and MDA content of wheat seedling with different concentrations of Si. The results showed: at the action of Si( 30,60,90,120 mg /L),chlorophyll- a content,proline content,soluble protein content,SOD activity of wheat seedling were increased and MDA content was droped,alleviating the toxicity of Hg on wheat seedlings; at the action of Si150mg / L,antioxidant enzymes system( SOD,CAT,POD) activity,proline content,soluble protein content of wheat seedlings compared with the control group showed no significant difference,but chlorophyll- a content was increased and MDA content was droped,alleviating the toxicity of Hg on wheat seedlings; at the action of Si180mg / L,chlorophyll- a content increased and MDA content droped,but SOD activity,proline content,soluble protein content of wheat seedling were droped.
