Clinical diagnostic value of Sysmex XE 2100 hematology analyzer for erythrocyte alert

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical diagnostic value of Sysmex XE 2100 hematology analyzer for erythrocyte alert.Methods We used Sysmex XE 2100 automatic hematology analyzer to carry out routine blood test on 500 venous blood samples collected by our hospital from inpatients and outpatients,carried out blood smear microscope inspection to 400 samples with erythrocyte abnormal alert,and evaluate the clinical diagnostic value of Sysmex XE 2100 hematology analyzer for erythrocyte alert.Results Sysmex XE 2100 was 100% sensitive to blood cell test,with a specificity rate of 74%.The positive predictive rate was 91.25% and negative predictive rate was 100%.The compliance rate in relation to gold standard microscopic examination was 93%.The consistency index K was 0.82(K0.75).Conclusion Sysmex XE 2100 automatic hematology analyzer has a satisfactory performance on erythrocyte-abnormal alerting system.With its good specialty and sensitivity,it can well satisfy the need of clinical application.
