Abstract

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome treated by combination of Berberine and Flupentixol and Melitracen tablets. Methods 120 patients with diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome were randomly divided into two groups.60 cases in control group were treated by Berberine(300 mg,thrice a day).60 patients in treatment group were treated by combination of Berberine(300 mg,thrice a day) and Flupentixol and Melitracen tablets(a pills, twice a day). The effect and side effect were observed after a course(12 weeks). Results The total effective rate in treatment group(95.0%) was higher than that in control group(75.0%,P0.05).The tolerance and safety of medicine in two groups was good. There was no obvious side effect. Conclusion The effect of combination of Berberine and Flupentixol and Melitracen tablets was definite on diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome.
