Liying Academy of Classical Learning in Shenzhen in Northern Song Dynasty

Liying Academy of Classical Learning,founded by DENG Fuxie,a successful candidate in the highest imperial examinations in 1069 in Northern Song Dynasty,who moved to his hometown,Jintian,after retirement,developed many talents and played an important role in promoting education in this area. After the establishment of Liying Academy of Classical Learning,academies of different sizes were set up in Xinjie,which contributed to the boom of cultural activities.
