A Study of Hebei Academy of Classical Learning in Yuan Dynasty(I)

Because of the northward spread of neo-confucianism and the policy support of Yuan government,the number of Hebei Academies of Calssical Learning in Yuan Dynasty was greatly rising,and some famous academies represented by Fenglong Academy emerged.During this period,Hebei Academies of Classical Learning not only taught neo-confucianism and the knowledge of classical humanistics and ethics,but also educated students science and technology so as to cultivate their special talents,the education of which had a great difference from that of Southern Academies of Classical Learning that focused on only Cheng-Zhu neo-confucianism and imperial examinations.
