Abstract
ATGL gene was recently identified as a novel gene and its expression product was named as adipose triglyceride lipase(ATGL),which was proved to be the rate-limiting enzyme that catalyse the initial step in triacylglycerol hydrolysis.A total of 2 102 bp cDNA sequence of ATGL gene was cloned by using the electronic cloning and RT-PCR methods from Guizhou mini-pig in this study. The coding region of ATGL gene cDNA was 1 461 bp,which encoded 486 amino acids.Sequencing analysis indicated that the cDNA sequence of ATGL gene and the predicted protein sequences were highly conserved among different porcine breeds.
