Abstract

Objective:To discuss the value of adenosine deaminase(ADA),lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) and C reactive protein(CRP) in differential diagnosis of malignant pleural effusion. Methods:The levels of ADA,LDH and CRP in 47 cases of neoplastic pleural effusion and 39 cases of tuberculous pleural effusion were detected and compared. Results:The level and positive rate of LDH in neoplastic pleural effusion group were significantly higher than those in tuberculous pleural effusion group(P0.05).The level and positive rate of ADA and CRP in neoplastic pleural effusion group were significantly lower than those in tuberculous pleural effusion group(P 0.05).Conclusion:ADA,LDH and CRP have important value in differential diagnosis of neoplastic pleural effusion and tuberculous pleural effusion.
