Analysis of the Conditions of Deliberative Democracy's Development in China

Abstract

Deliberative Democracy theory is a kind of democratic theory which has risen in the West since 1980s.China has local resources to develop deliberative democracy which are the support of Chinese harmonious and syncretic culture and the practice of political consultation.But there are also some constraints,such as the weak civil society and the lack of electoral democracy.However,Deliberative Democracy under the western context is built in a strong civil society and based on the developed democracy of free elections.
