Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effect and safety of Monosialotetrahexosyl ganglioside(GM1) combined with Aspirin in the treatment of acute cerebral infarctions. Methods Seventy patients with acute cerebral infarctions were randomly divided into two groups:(1) the observation group(35 cases),GM1 100mg/d for intravenous drip combined with oral Aspirin 100 mg/d;(2) the control group(35 cases),compound Danshen injection 20ml/d for intravenous drip. The treatment lasted 14 d,the evaluating index including the recovery of neurological function deficit before and 14 d after treatment and overall improvement rate. Results The clinical effective rate of the observation group was 57.14%(20/35),of the control group was 34.29%(12/35),the total effective rate were 94.3%(33/35) and 71.4%(25/33) respectively. The difference of the total effective rate between the two groups was of statistical significance(P0.01).The difference of nerve function incomplete integral before treatment in two groups showed no statistical significance(P0.05),the difference of that at 14 d after treatment has statistical significance(P0.01). Conclusion GM1 combined with small dose Aspirin is very effective in treatment of acute cerebral infarctions and has good central nervous protective effects, can significant improve neurological deficit in patients with cerebral infarction.
