Abstract
The optimal mixed vase solution selected through orthogonal design tests was:0. 15% Ca(NO_3)_2+1 % sucrose+ 500 mg/L citric acid+ 200 mg/L B_9 + 2. 0 mmol/L AgNO_3. The cut roses (Rose hybrida cv. Samantha) treated with the mixed vase solution were stored under various temperatures. The results indicated that the vase life of treated cut rose compared with the control was prolonged 6 d in 21-23 ℃ and 13 d in 14±0.5 ℃, respectively. When cut rose was treated with the mixed vase solution and stored at different temperatures, the activities of catalase (CAT) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) increased, and the production of malondialdehyde (MDA) was delayed.
