Abstract
The Westernization, Movement in the late 19th century was an emergency and self-salvation movement. The Westernization Movement officials such as Yi Xin, Zen Guofan, Li Hongzhang and etc. regarded the educational contents as the most aspect of educational reform under their leadership, the reformers offered the new curriculum and translated the Western books. In this period, the textbooks and varieties were gradually increasing and their contents were richer. From the on, the educational contents on science and technology are accepted in China, and the textbooks compiled and translated according to the west have got a certain position in the conflict with the Chinese textbooks ruling the whole and were gradually noticed.
