Abstract
In the latter half of the nineteenth century,In order to consolidated the feudal regime and dealed with foreign pressures,the westernization group of the ruling calss in Ching launched the westernization movement that aimed at the rich and self-reliance.Westernization education is an important aspect of the westernization movement,westernization education’s guiding ideology is Chinese culture is fundamental,Western culture is learning for use,accordingly that the westernization group founded the new school,seted up new courses,translated western books,sended students and so on,these educational activities of the westernization group have also affected China’s modern primary education,promoted the modernization of the primary education.
