Abstract
OBJECTIVE To understand the distribution and drug resistance of the blood culture-derived pathogens in our hospital from Jan.2009 to Dec.2010,so as to provide evidence for rational selection of antimicrobial agents in clinical practice. METHODS Results of blood culture in our hospital from 2009 to 2010 were retrospectively analyzed.Drug susceptibility data were analyzed using WHONET 5.4 software. RESULTS A total of 12,384 blood culture specimens were collected from 2009 to 2010 and 1,203 specimens were positive, with positive rate of 9.71%.Among the 1,203 isolates, there were 706 strains of gram-negative bacteria, accounting for 58.69%,390 strains of gram-positive bacteria, accounting for 32.42% and 107 strains of fungi, accounting for 8.89%.Main pathogens included Escherichia coli,Klebsiella pneumoniae,Acinetobacter baumannii,Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus, accounting for 15.96%,10.56%,11.22%,12.14% and 11.14% respectively. The isolation rates of methicillin-resistant S.aureus and coagulase negative Staphylococcus were 65.67% and 70.15% respectively. There was no vancomycin resistant Staphylococcus. CONCLUSION Clinical doctors should pay great attention to the blood culture and rationally use of antibiotics according to drug susceptibility test results,so as to reduce multi drug-resistant strains and prevent and control nosocomial infections.
