The Culture Connotation and Thought Sources of the Chinese Sports Spirit

Through using the method of literature review,the same-time and along-time observa- tion,logical analysis and expert interview,and taking sports spirit and Chinese national spirit as a reference,this paper makes analysis and summed up the Chinese sports spirit.The Chinese sports spirit of the Chinese people in sports practice formed by the patriotism,self-sacrifice,health,hap- piness,fair competition,challenge-conquering,unity and cooperation as the main values of con- sciousness,thinking and general mental state.The Chinese sports spirit of the Chinese nation not only has the personality and the world of sports is also common.The Chinese sports spirit of cul- tural connotations main features:(1) Patriotism spirit of winning honor for the country:the theme of glory and dream,the sense of social responsibility,historic mission and anxiety.(2) Heroism spirit of constantly striving:be not afraid of failure or sacrifice,be brave to struggle, and have the courage to win.(3) Optimism and self-confident spirit of self-transcending:self-re- spect and self-confidence,self-transcending,and optimistic.(4) Fair play spirit with standard and regular order:fair play,sense of regulation,innovation basing on the fact.(5) Trusty and tolerant team spirit:sense of cooperation,respecting uniqueness while developing difference,seeking for common development.(6) Dialectical spirit of pragmatic rationality.,dialectics and pragmatic ra- tionality.In view of the ideological originate,the Chinese sports spirit stems from traditional cul- ture of Chinese nation as well as foreign cultures.
