The Fauna Constitution and Community Diversity of Birds of Shihezi Wetland in Xinjiang

The bird resources of Daquangou and Moguhu reservoirs were investigated by using transect and group record method from May in 2006 to July in 2006 in Shihezi region in Xingjiang.Thirty-seven kinds of bird species were recorded,which belonged to 8 orders,17 families.Among them,the species of Palaearctic realm,Oriental realm and wide distribution were respectively 21,8,8 and the species of summer resident,resident,traveler and winter resident were respectively 23,10,3,1.The dominant species were Phalacrocorax carbo,Anas platyrhynchos,Ardea cinerea,Sterna hirundo,Hirundo rustica and Passer montanus by using frequency index and important value.The diversity index of bird community of reed land was the highest(2.1259) and that of shrubbery was the lowest(1.3674).Besides,on the basis of analyzing survival environment,some suggestions of increasing bird community diversity of wetland were put forward.
