Abstract

Objective:To observe clinical effects of the incisor angle defect restoration by composite resin plus dentin bonded fiber-reinforced post. Method:56 subjects with incisor fracture caused by caries or injury were involved in this study. All the teeth pulp were vital and randomly divided into group A of fiber post restorations, and Group B only resin restorations. The clinical effects were observed and compared according to the California Dental association(CDA,USA)evaluation standards. Result:After 2 years observation, the successful rate of group A was much better than group B and with a statistical significance(P 0.05). Conclusion:Glass fiber post as the local mechanical fixing device can enhance the resistance and retention of incisor angle resin restorations. It also can avoid corrosion of metal materials and color deficiency and embodies the concept of minimally invasive repair.
