Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical application of glass fiber post in the restoration of anterior teeth. Methods 92 anterior teeth from 78 patients after root canal therapy were restored with glass fiber posts and resin cores. The restorations were evaluated clinically according to the modified United State Public Health Service criteria(USPHS)after 6-24 months intervals. Results After observation for 6 to 24 months, together with clinical observation an X-ray examination, the stroration ratio reached 94%.No crown'color changed, and no root or post broken were found. Conclusion The clinical application of glass fiber posts could achieve good clinical performance without root fractures. However, more long-term studies with larger numbers of restorations are needed.
