Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of leukemia inhibitory factor gene in human first trimester decidua. Methods By reverse transcription-polymerase chain reacion(RT-PCR), the expression of LIF gene of 36 cases of decidua from human normal pregnancy were detected. Results All of the decidua speciments had strong LIF gene expression. The level of LIF mRNA expression was 1.314±0.457. Conclusions Our findings suggested that the expression of LIF gene might play an important role in early phase embryo development and maintenance of pregancy.
