Observation of combination of Anzhong decoction and acupuncture therapy on diabetic gastroparesis

Objective To observe the effect of combination of Anzhong decoction and acupuncture therapy on diabetic gastroparesis (DGP). Methods 92 patients with DGP were divided into two groups. Besides the cases in two groups were treated by routine therapy of diabetes,patients in treatment group (n=46) were treated by combination of Anzhong decoction (a dose ,twice a day) and acupuncture therapy (acupuncture point including Neiguan,Zusanli,Sanyinjiao,Gongsun and Zhongwan). Patients in control group (n=46) were treated by Domperidone,10 mg,thrice a day. The course in two groups was one month. Results Improvement of symptoms including satiety,nausea and vomiting,abdominal distension and anorexia in treatment group was superior to that in control group (P0.01) after treatment. There was difference between before and after treatment in two groups (P0.01). The total effective rate in treatment group was higher than that in control group (P0.01). Conclusion Combination of Anzhong decoction and acupuncture therapy has definite effect on diabetic gastroparesis.
