Regional Characteristics and Driven Effects of Chengdu Urban Economic Circle

To research on urban economic circle development strategies,regional economic development has become an inevitable trend.June 7,2007,Chengdu and Chongqing were announced as national pilot areas of rural-urban integrated and synthesis coordinated reforms.Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle is bound to become the fourth growth pole since Yangtze River Delta economic circle,the Pearl River Delta economic circle and the Beijing-Tianjin Bohai Sea China economic circle.Chengdu,as an important part of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle,has therefore a major task of building Chengdu urban economic circle,strengthening urban cluster radiation coverage as a core,stimulating rapid development in Sichuan and evern western region.Constructing the Chengdu urban economic circle,promoting Chengdu and surrounding cities an integrated economic development body,as well as rapid development of the western region is an important economic development task of the pilot area.In this paper,based on the fundamental analysis of definition,characteristics of Chengdu economic circle,author argues effects of Chengdu urban economic circle on promoting satellite town and outer-circle town economic development.The author also puts forward development strategies of from points to and whole to points.
