Abstract

A novel anthracene derivative,9-[3,5-bis(4′-N,N-diphenyl)amine]-phenylanthracene(5),was synthesized by Ullmann reaction,Suzuki coupling and boric acidification from 9-bromoanthracene,1,3,5-tribromobenzene,1-bromo-4-iodobenzene and diphenylamine.The structure was characterized by 1H NMR and elemental analysis.UV-Vis absorption and fluorescence of 5 were investigated.The results showed that λmax of 5 were 256 nm,350 nm and 388 nm.The λem were 414 nm and 497 nm at 320 nm excitation wavelengths.
