Abstract

Objective: To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of Trimetazidine(TMZ) on dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM) patients with clinical heart failure. Methods: 42 cases of DCM with severe heart failure were randomly divided into TMZ treatment group(TMZ group) and conventional treatment group(Control group).Control group received standard therapy to treat heart failure,TMZ group on the basis of routine treatment plus TMZ,every time 20 mg,3 times a day,a course of six months. Before and after treatment,6 min walking distance was measured, change of left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) and left ventricular end diastolic diameter(LVEDd) were measured by color Doppler ultrasound. Results: After six months,6 min walk distance of TMZ group was significantly better than that of the control group(P0.05),significantly improved LVEF by echocardiography(P0.05),LVEDd significantly reduced. Conclusion: Trimetazidine improves cardiac function in patients with DCM,it can be used as an auxiliary treatment for DCM.
