Clinical Analysis of Aesthetic Effect of Immediate Implant of Anterior Teeth

Objective To explore the aesthetic effect of immediate implant of upper anterior teeth.Methods 43 single maxillary anterior teeth-damaged patients were divided into observation group(n = 23) and control group(n = 20) from January 2012 to February 2011 in our hospital.The observation group was treated with immediate implant,while the control group was given delayed implant in single maxillary anterior implant.The papilla index score(PIS) and the bone resorption were observed between the two groups to evaluate the aesthetic effect.Results After one year,all implants were osseointegrated.The successful rate of implantation was 100%.The papilla index of the observation group scored higher than that of the control group.There was significant difference between two groups(P 0.05).Bone resorption of the two groups was in the normal range,with significant difference between two groups(P 0.05) in the first 6 months,while in the next 6 months with no statistical significance(P 0.05) Conclusion The immediate implant can acquire better aesthetic effect than the delayed implant,especially in the gingival papilla.
