A Preliminary Study on the Social Collectivism

China is undergoing social transformation,in which the values of traditional collectivism of the planned economy can not adapt to the new situation.So collectivism values must be reconstructed to play its dominant role in the building of socialist modernization.The construction of the values of new collectivism should gear up for the transformation trend in China and at the same time it needs its own theoretical foundation and the contents to show its nature,in particular the concepts to construct a harmonious socialist society.After a superficial analysis of the confusion that traditional collectivism is facing in both theory and practice,this paper offers a concept called social collectivism and tries to explain its nature,characteristics and significance.
