Abstract
Traditional collectivism hasn't guided social reality as a moral principle.We should construct new collectivism.On the basis of relevant theories of Maxism,holism,individualism,collectivism and traditional collectivism are investigated and collectivism is defined.On the one hand,individualism should be advocated;on the other hand,individualism should be guided by collectivism.This is the basic principle of constructing collectivism.Its basic contents are developing collective virtue;ruling by law;advocating self-sacrifice.New collectivism's development is collectivism in communism so-ciety
