"The Book of History" and Luoyang Being the Capital City for Three Dynasties

From the writings about Heluo Area in The Book of History,we can get to know the up-and-down changes happened in Luoyang,the capital city during the three dynasties of Xia,Shang,and Zhou in Chinese history.The Emperor Jie of Xia Dynasty neglected his duty,and indulged too much in extravagances.So he lost people′s support,at last the capital city collapsed and the country was destroyed.After that,the early time of Shang Dynasty saw Tang,Tai-jia and Pan-geng,the founders of the dynasty,striving hard in the land of Bo(the other name of Luoyang in Shang),where a flourishing age appeared.The Zhou Dynasty also witnessed the joint efforts and hard work of Zhou-gong,Jun-chen and Bi-gong,so Luo-yi(also Luoyang),the capital of Western Zhou Dynasty,had prospered and became a center of domination in eastern China and enjoyed prestigious reputation in the history of Eastern Zhou Dynasty.
