Abstract

Objective To evaluate the distribution of peripheral blood CD4+CD25+ regulatory T lymphocytes in patients with lung cancer and its clinical signification. Methods The peripheral blood CD4+CD25+ T cells from 45 lung cancer patients and 30 healthy volunteers was measured by flow cytometry assay, and identified by in vitro lymphocyte proliferation test. Results The percent of peripheral blood CD4+CD25+T cells in lung cancer patients was remarkably higher than that in healthy controls(P0.05),but declined after therapy(P0.05).The CD4+CD25+T cells from lung cancer patients could inhibit the proliferation of CD4+D25-T cells and secretion of IFN-γ.Conclusion Lung cancer patients showed an increased percentage of peripheral blood CD4+CD25+ regulatory T lymphocytes in patients with lung cancer, and its dynamic monitoring contributes to evaluation of immune status and therapeutic effect of lung cancer patients.
