The Relationship Which is Between the Economic Growth and the Manufacturing Industry Agglomeration Level of Jiangsu Province is Evaluated

Abstract

This paper measures 28 manufacturing industry agglomeration degrees in Jiangsu province from 2002 to 2011 by location quotient.Then found that the agglomeration level of the textile industry and other 13 industries is higher and the agglomeration degree in growing.We work at comprehensive assessment of 13 agglomeration industries in Jiangsu province using entropy method.The econometric model of comprehensive evaluation on the industrial agglomeration and economic growth are constructed.The results showed that 13 agglomeration industries in Jiangsu province have a significant relation with economic growth.
