Research on the Interaction Between Industry Agglomeration and Talent Agglomeration in Jiangsu Province

Abstract

Industry agglomeration tends to occur in the process of economic development. Industry agglomeration has become an important indicator of the economic development in a region. The agglomeration of industries will attract the gathering of talents, and the two will drive each other to jointly promote the development of regional economy. This paper first qualitatively analyzed the mutual driving relationship between the two, and then took Jiangsu Province as an example, using 19-year related time series data of industrial development and talent development in Jiangsu Province from 1996 to 2014 to conduct the correlation analysis. The results showed that the tertiary industry agglomeration could help to promote talent agglomeration. Finally, this paper, according to the analysis results, put forward relevant policy recommendations.
