Abstract
Objective:To detect the effect of simvastatin on C-reactive protein(CRP) and blood lipid level in patients with coronary heart disease.Methods:76 patients with coronary heart disease were randomly divided into experimental group(40 cases) and control group(36 cases). All patients received conventional treatment. On the base of these measures, the experimental group received simvastatin 20 mg per night. All patients were treated for 12 weeks.TC,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C and CRP were observed.Adverse event was recorded.Results:TC,TG,LDL-C and CRP were all reduced in experimental group significantly(P0.05).In the experimental group,TC,LDL-C and CRP were lower than that in control group(P0.05).The adverse reaction with experimental group was lower than control group(P0.05).Conclusion:Simvastatin can reduce CRP in patients with coronary heart disease. It can inhibit inflammation and has good effect on controlling blood lipid level. It is effective in reducing the potential exposure to cardiovascular events.
