Abstract
The synthesis of cyclohexyl acetate by reacting acetic acid with cyclohexanol using SO 2-_4/TiO_2 as catalyst was studied. The yield of ester was 92.3%. The optimunm conditions are: molar ratio of acetic acid to cyclohexanol,1.0:1.2;the amount of catalyst, 10% of the feed stock, and the reaction time, 90min. The experimental results indicate that SO 2-_2/TiO_2 is an excellent catalyst for synthesizing cyclohexyl acetate with the advantages of smaller quantity. of catalyst, better reusability, shorter reaction time, higher yield of ester and simpler operation method.
