Clinical comparison between fluor protector and light cured pit and fissure sealant for caries-preventive effect

Abstract
Objective:To compare the caries-preventive effect between fluor protector and light cured pit and fissure sealant on mandibular first permanent molars pit and fissure caries.Methods: The first permanent molars in the mandibular of 72 children were treated respectively with fluor protector(left side) and light cured pit and fissure sealant(right side),and incidence of caries were examined respectively after 0.5、1 and 1.5 years.Results: No significant differences of incidence of caries were detected after1.5 years.Conclusion: Both fluor protector and light cured pit and fissure sealant have good clinical effect in caries-preventive.
