Abstract

Objctive:To evaluate the clinical effect of light-cured flowable resin,light-cured composite resin and pit and fissure sealant in early pit-and-fissue caries of permanent molar in children.MethodS:180 early pit-and-fissue caries of permanent molars in children were selected and filled with light-cured flowable resin,light-cured composite resin and pit and fissure sealant. The patients were followed up for 2 years to observe the clinical effect of the treatments. Results:The sealant retention rates of light-cured flowable resin,light-cured composite resin and pit and fissure sealant 1 year after filling were 95.0%,91.7%and 83.3% respectively. There were no significant differences among them. The sealant retention rates of light-cured flowable resin,light-cured composite resin and pit and fissure sealant 2 year after filling were 89.8%,75.4%and 70.7% respectively. The light-cured flowable resin was higher than the other filling treatments. The difference was significant(P0.05).Conclusion:Light-cured flowable resin is a better filling material for early pit-and-fissure caries of permanent molar in children.
