Abstract

Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of Wenjingtongmai decoction on arteriosclerosis oblitersans. Methods 80 patients with arteriosclerosis oblitersans were randomly divided into 2 groups. The 40 patients in treatment group were treated by Wenjingtongmai decoction, decocted in water for oral dose, one dose daily, combined with smoking and watering with the decoction. The other 40 patients in control group were treated by taking aspirin (75mg,once a day) and tolazoline (50 mg,three times a day),combined with smoking and watering with the decoction ,with a treatment course of 14 days for both groups. The therapeutic effects were observed after three treatment courses. The changes of color Dopller ultrasound in lower extremities, coagulation state, hepatorenal function were observed before and after treatment for both groups. Results The total effective rate in treatment group was 82.5%, which was 50.0% in control group. There was a significant difference between the two groups.(P0.01). Conclusion Wenjingtongmai decoction is effective in treating arteriosclerosis oblitersans.
