Abstract
Objective To explore the therapeutic effects and the factors affecting the treatment of nasal endoscopic surgery in treatment of chronic nasa l sinusitis and nasal polyps. Methods 103 cases of chronic nasal sinusitis and nasal polyps patients who were followed up from 2000 to 2001 were treated with n asal endoscopic surgery; 9 cases (8.7%) was type I, 70 cases (68.0%) in type Ⅱ and 24 cases (14.6%) in type Ⅲ. The patients were followed up for eight months to 15 months. Results The curative rate was 88.9% in type I; 81.7% in type Ⅱan d 70.8% in type Ⅲ. Conclusion The therapeutic effect of nasal endoscopic surge ry is closely related with the clinical types, preoperative treatment, operative techniques and the following up after operation.
