Abstract

Objective To explore the therapeutic effects of nasal endoscopic surgery in treatment of chronic nasal sinusitis and nasal polyps and its influenced factors. Methods 103 cases of chronic nasal sinusitis and nasal polyps patients who were followed up from 2000 to 2001 were treated with nasal endoscopic surgery; 9 cases (8. 7%)was type Ⅰ,70 cases (68. 0%) in type Ⅱ and 24 cases (14. 6%)in type Ⅲ. The patients were followed up for eight months to 15 months .Results The curative rate was 88.9% in type Ⅱ and 70.8%in type Ⅲ.Conclusion The therapeutic effect of nasal endoscopic surgery is closely related with the clinical types,preoperative treatment, operative techniques and the following up after operation.
