Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Traditional Chinese medicine Yiqi-Huoxue-Jiedu(replenishing qi-Activating blood-Removing toxin) decoction in treatment of coronary heart disease angina pectoris. Methods Seventy nine patients with coronary heart disease angina pectoris were randomly divided into two groups: patients in TCM group(n=38) received Yiqu-Huoxue-Jiedu decoction in addition to western medicine and control group(n=41) received western medicine alone, for 30 days.Clinical efficacy was compared between two groups. Results The total effective rate in TCM group was 92.11% and that in control group was 73.17%(P0.05).The electrocardiographic improvement in TCM group was more marked than that in control group(P0.05).Conclusion In addition to western medicine,Yiqi-huoxue-jiedu decoction is more effective than western medicine alone in treatment of patients with coronary artery disease angina pectoris.
