Abstract
Objective To evaluate the applicability of serum cystatin C to diagnosis of early renal impairment?in patients with hypertension. Methods Subjects consisted of 41 normotensive controls and 41 unrelated Chinese essential hypertensive patients.the data of Serum Cystain C,24h urine microprotein(mAlb),serum cr and BUN,Ccr were obtained by automated biochemical analyzer before and after the treatment. Results After the treatment,Ccr had no significant statistical difference between the hypertension group and control group(P0.05),while in terms of Cystain C,24h mAlb,Ccr,significant differences were observed(P0.01).Conclusion Analysis of serum cystatin C would be more helpful to estimating the early renal impairment of patients with hypertension effectively than BUN and Scr.
