The Subjectivity of Translators in Literary Translation——And commenting on three translated versions of Vanity Fair

Abstract

The translation process involves translators' subjectivity under the influence of cultural,social and individual elements.The hermeneutics is drawn on to examine the subjectivity of translators in the translation process.Through a comparative analysis of three translated versions of Vanity Fair,the author argues that translators' subjective choice of the source text,translators' interpretation of the source text and translators' creation in target texts all reflect the subjectivity of translators.
