Abstract
【Objective】 To investigate significance and correlation of expression of FHIT and MSH2 protein in cervical carcinoma in Xinjiang women.【Methods】 The expression of FHIT and MSH2 was examined by immunohistochemical SP method in 35 cervical carcinomas,57 CIN and 20 normal cervix tissues.【Results】 The positive expression of FHIT was 90.0%,73.7%,22.9% in cervical carcinoma,CIN,and normal cervix tissues, respectively. The expression of FHIT was different from Han(42.9%) to Uighur(10.5%) nationality(P 0.05).The positive expression of MSH2 was 65.0%,63.2%,and 71.4% in above tissues respectively, and the difference was not statistically significant. There was no obvious difference(P 0.05).There was no correlation between the expression of FHIT and MSH2 in cervical carcinoma(r =0.043,P 0.05).【Conclusion】 The descending expression of FHIT plays important role in development of cervical carcinoma, and is more obvious in Uighur nationality. It may be used as a marker to serve mass screening of CIN-high risk subjects and diagnostic inductor for early carcinoma. The expression of MSH2 increases from CIN to cervical carcinoma. There may be no correlation between the expression of FHIT and MSH2 in cervical carcinoma.
