Abstract
Objective To implore FHIT expression in the tissue of cervical carcinoma and its clinical significance. Methods To determine the FHIT expression in 42 cases of cervical carcinoma by S2P immunohistochemical staining and to make a comparison with the normal one. Results The FHIT expression in normal tissue showed to be normal or even positive. No descending or short one occurred. The expression in cervical carcinoma was significantly low or short, abnormal one reached 57.14 %. The descending and short expression had something to do with histological type and grade (P 0.05). There was no significant difference among different clinical stage(P 0.05). Conclusions The ascending or descending of FHIT expression plays an important role, which might influence the prognosis of cervical carcinoma.
