Clinical observation of Nitrous Oxide analgesia in induced abortion

Objective To explore the effect of Nitrous Oxide in relieving pain in the induced abortion.Method For 100 cases used Nitrous Oxide in inhalant anaesthesia in induced abortion for relieving pain as the observation group,100 cases inhaled placebo(oxygen) as the contrast group.Pain degree in induced abortion,the grade of cervix looseness and the adverse effect were observed in the two groups.Results The rate of painless and light pain in the observation group was 95%,while in the contrast group was 22%(P0.01);the efficiency rate of the grade of cervix looseness in the observation group was 93%,while the contrase group was 29%(P0.01);the occurrence rate of syndrome of induced abortion in the observation group was 2%,while the contrast group was 14%(P0.01);and there was no obvious difference of bleeding amount in the two groups.Conclusion Nitrous Oxide absorption analgesia is easy,with no side effect and it is an ideal analgesia method in abortion in gynecology and obstetrics.The method is deserved clinical application.
