Abstract
A new method of loading test for pile bearing capacity-self-balanced method is introduced in this paper. The method has been widely used in Euramerican countries for its characteristics of being unique, easy handling and high experimental precision. The test principle, procedure and equipment of this method and determination of pile bearing is introduced; the differences of test principle between this method and traditional loading test are analyzed; and a new method based on loading equality principle that converts the results of self-balanced method to the results of traditional loading test for pile bearing capacity is put forward. By this method, it is easier to determine pile bearing capacity and the value of pile bearing capacity is safe. So the self-balanced method has practicability; and the method is applied in actual engineering.
