Study on Relationship between Apoptosis and Human Uterine Leiomyoma

Abstract

Objective To investigate the relationship between apoptosis and human uterine leiomyoma.Methods The expressions of Bcl-2、Bax、Fas、and Fas-L protein were examined immunohistochemically in leiomyoma(leiomyoma group) and adjacent normal myometrium(normal group).Results The expression of Bcl-2 protein in leiomyoma group was significantly higher than that in normal group(P0.001).The expressions of Bax、Fas、Fas-L protein in leiomyoma group were significantly lower than those in normal group(P0.001).Conclusion The development of human uterine leiomyoma would be related with abnormal apoptosis.
