Abstract
Objective:To explore the expression and clinical significance of 14-3-3σ protein in uterine leiomyoma. Methods:The expression levels of 14-3-3σ protein in uterine leiomyoma tissues and homologous normal myometrium tissues of 20 cases with uterine leiomyoma were measured by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and Western blot.Results:RT-PCR and western blot both revealed that 14-3-3σ showed a basic expression in homologous normal myometrium group. The expression of 14-3-3σ in uterine leiomyomas tissues was low. Conclusion:The low level of 14-3-3σ protein is closely related to the pathogenesis of human uterine leiomyoma.
